Threading: an ancient and incredibly popular treatment for hair removal. Can be used as an alternative to Waxing where some clients may be allergic to the products used.
A thin thread is doubled, twisted then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short lines of hair.
Eyebrow threading provides a more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is gentler on the skin. The client can experience discomfort as several hairs are removed at once: however this can be minimised if it is done professionally
There are a few different techniques for threading. These include the hand method, mouth method and neck. Each technique has advantages and disadvantages and at The Scottish Beauty School, we will demonstrate the main techniques and you practise with the style that suits you best
